April 17, 2017

On Saturday 25 March 2017, Thurrock Marching Brass (TMB) was delighted to be able to release for the first time the musical element for the 2017 production Charlie’s Chocolate Factory, which they did to celebrate the Ockendon Centre, South Ockendon reaching a 4 year milestone.

To add to the occasion Thurrock’s Mayor, Cllr. Cathy Kent was also present and gave the youngsters a warm, complimentary speech post their performance. The young brassline played Happy Birthday which was also really well received by all present.

Speaking of the event, Corps Director, Jay Lindner said “I have said this many times now, and it is something that is so important to me and the entire organisation, and that is local community engagements are so incredibly important for us. To be asked to celebrate such a great milestone with our friends at the Ockendon Centre was a real treat, especially as we released for the first time in public our full musical program for the 2017 season, Charlie’s Chocolate Factory. I couldn’t be any prouder of the members and everyone involved and we look forward to taking the program on the road very shortly. The full details of where we will be can be found on our web site at www.thurrockmarchingbrass.org, just scroll down the home page and you will see our currently accepted performances on the right.”

Thurrock Marching Brass is proud to perform within the community as much as possible.
